Message of the day - March 15, 2001:

Hi everyone,

I was tempted to wait until St. Patrick's day when green is the thing to post these, but if I do this today, they'll be there all day long on the 17th. Here are ten more photos of from Mark R. Lynn. Nine of the ten are whiteface, and several are rather rare subjects.

While no BN SD38P is "common", only three were rebuilt from SD38-2's (such as SD38P #6260) for use with BN's unique TEBUC6 (such as TEBUC6 #6299 yard slugs. Note the placards on these two photos that label these two units as "Argentine Bowl Trimmer Locomotives."

Also rare are BN B30-7's, particularly in whiteface paint. I believe B30-7 #5492 is the only B30-7 painted in this scheme. Since this photo is taken in 1999, and my roster shows it retired in April 1997, it looks like some research is in order.

Enjoy,
Charles
