Message of the day - August 12, 2005:

Hi everyone,

Today we have a couple more C30-7's from Mark R. Lynn and some rather rare power built for use at various major hump yards on the BN. The SD38P's built from SD35's are mated to TEBUC6's that were once SD9's but no longer have prime movers in them. The "slugs" with cabs are a rather clever design, where the crew gets to ride in a unit that makes a little less noise, and visibility appears to be pretty good too. Although TEBUC6 #6299 displays a "BNSF Argentine Yard Trimmer Locomotive" placard, I'll still pass it off as a BN unit since it still has its BN logo and Burlington Northern lettering. For the record, I have often seen the TEBUC6 referred to as TEBC6, but I first saw the TEBUC6 designation and choose to stick with that.

Enjoy,
Charles
