Brett Buffum |

Brett is 20 years old, and lives in Kansas City, MO. He has always liked
trains, and over the last year-and-a-half or so, found that his "like"
was growing into a LOVE. So when he had dropped out of college last fall
and was trying to find himself, he found himself looking to the railroad.
Brett is currently completing his degree in Railroad Operations ,with a
Conductor emphasis, at the National Academy of Railroad Sciences at
Johnson County Community College, in Overland Park, Kansas. This is the
technical training center for the BNSF, and in conjunction with the
school, they offer the degree. On January 6 he will enter the six week
Conductor Training Program, alongside other students and BNSF employees.
After completing that in the middle of February, he will be hired through
the school by any of the Class 1 companies out there, and will go off to
do Conductor things. He really can't wait for the middle of February, but
until then, he will continue to be a "foamer" like everyone else.
Hopefully he will contribute some decent shots too (he's pretty
