I only managed to make it trackside once so far this month, but I made it count and picked up the quota of 5 rosters, plus an extra in case I was not satisified with this marginal photo of C40-8W #875. It would have been worth returning later in the day to reshoot with better light but that sign also forced a broadside angle. For a lesser subject I'd have passed it up, but it has been a while since I've seen one of this class of units in service, much less front uncoupled. Come to think of it, I did revisit it later in the day, where I did see it coupled up as last unit in the consist on a train. There were five units so perhaps it was just a power move and was not providing power for the train, but I suspect business is picking back up enough to where maybe these units are returning to service.
