What's new as of September 10,1995:
What? No images today? Why would I put up a "what's new" page for
the day if there are no pictures to go with it? The reason:
Bad News.
Many of you have heard of the BNSF merger. Many of you also are
curious about the new paint scheme BNSF is adopting. Some of you
know that a locomotive (BN 9647) was unveiled on August 28 wearing
that new scheme (subject to change now I guess). I was there the
evening before (Aug 27), and I got some great pictures of it to post
to the BN Archive (actually, it was to be the start of a new BNSF
Archive). Or so I thought.
A few days ago I got back the slides. You may know the feeling
of misloading a roll and the dissapointment that results. Well, I
wish it was the roll that was the problem. My camera decided that
this would be a good time to have problems opening its curtain. What
really sucks is that on the first few shots I had taken, at least
the curtain opened 1/3 of the way and I had 1/3 of a shot. When it
came time to shoot 9647, it was not opening at all. Not even a sliver.
Fortunately, Leonard, John, and a handful of other
railfans were there taking pictures as well. Hopefully I will be able
to hook up with them and there will be a BNSF Archive after all.
We'll see.

By the way does anyone know if my camera is repairable? It is a
Minolta (forgot the model - I'll post it soon).
Pictures will be coming again tomorrow!
