My apologies for the extended down time this month. Last August I went on a three week vacation, and had a similar issue (fixed by rebooting DSL modem). So this August I go on another three week vacation and guess what happens, and what the fix was? This month I have more from the Moss E. Hulsey collection. Today I am back to the good old SD40-2. Most of these units I already had a prior photo of, but these are mostly from the 1980's in or near Montana versus the usual 1990's in Texas photos I have taken myself. One standout item of this batch is C&S SD40-2 #7928. I did notice the C&S sublettering right away, and found that quite interesting since this unit was not listed as being originally C&S in my online roster. With a little research, I found the C&S merger date to be December 31, 1981 so at the time of this photo on July 12, 1981 the C&S still did exist so I consider this photo to be of a true C&S unit. Based on this photographic evidence, I have updated my roster to reflect the series of 7920-7940 to be originally C&S, then BN. Enjoy, Charles |
