Message of the day - May 31, 2003:Hi everyone,We end this fine batch of blue and yellow Santa Fe power from Curt Jans with something a little special. I always like to have before and after photos to compare, and today get a rare opportunity to show a unit wearing two different Santa Fe paint schemes. When the SPSF merger got rolling, B23-7 #6404 was dressed up in the red, yellow, and black SPSF paint scheme commonly referred to by railfans as the "Kodachrome" scheme. Since the merger was not to be, 6404 eventually found its way back into the standard blue and yellow warbonnet paint. Enjoy! Charles |
