Message of the day - June 10, 2004:Hi everyone,Here are another five photos by Moss E. Hulsey all GE's. There is nothing particularly exciting about either the B40-8 or the B36-7. Given that the B36-7's were retired just before a full 15 years (common lease term for locomotives) they were probably not overly successful. They certainly were not big sellers, with 16 on the roster. The B40-8's are all just over 15 years old now, and are still in service. I rarely see them in Texas any more, but with massive C44-9W purchases, the 39 that remain on the BNSF are quite rare in comparison. Enjoy! Charles |
