Message of the day - August 27, 2003:Hi everyone,Here are five more Santa Fe blue and yellow photos from Moss E. Hulsey, including a couple from before 1985. so that 1985-1995 time frame that this website covers is slowly expanding. Speaking of that inadequate book collection, the shot of freshly rebuilt GP35 #2926 is probably rather rare. I noticed a hole there in my roster page, picked up a recently acquired copy of Joe McMillan's "Santa Fe Motive Power" book, and 2926 was wrecked a mere five months later, before the 1985-1995 period this website covers at the present time. Regarding the earlier 50's, 60's and 70's material from the collection of Moss Hulsey, I have made quite a bit of progress, with 640 slides scanned so far. Not all of them will be used, but this is only about half of the material he has in mind. I do not know how or when I will start incorporating the early material, but I have a lot of work to do just recording the photographer, date, and location for the photos. There is enough old red and silver in there to make me feel a little less bummed that I do not have any modern red and silver ready for this month. Enjoy! Charles |
